2 Thessalonians 1:3
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
I was looking for a church, visiting several, and came here because our family knew Pastor Rob, and my grandfather had pastored at Hazelgreen once upon a time. I was coming with my parents and brothers but came expecting that it would just be a visit. The warmness of the people kept us coming back, and it felt like "home" from the beginning. I won't share all the spiritual reasons that God had for bringing me here but suffice it to say there were many reasons for me personally to be here, some of which are still unfolding.
As of December of 2025, it will be 23 years.
This is a question I (our family) gets A LOT. We live 1 hr. and 15 minutes away, but that has not stopped us from being actively involved at Hazelgreen. The best answer to this question is "because it is where the Lord wants us, and there's no better place to be than where He wants you." He has provided for us in SO many ways to make this possible.
Loving, generous, and genuine
A current favorite is Isaiah 41:10 which says, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am they God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
I love spending time with my family and friends, I love to travel, I love reading, cooking different recipes, and truly love writing (when I can find the time!)
That's a tough one. As someone who has asked Him a lot of questions along the way, I can honestly say I am at a spot right now where I don't have anything to ask. I feel like He's told me enough through His word, and that there are some things that I may never know. In the end, I trust Him--I know He knows what is best, if it's meant for me to know, He will reveal it in His own time and way.
